Gabe Smith is a relationally driven leader and leader development expert with a proven record of success working with individuals and organizations globally.

Upon graduation from West Point, Gabe was commissioned as an Infantry Officer. In nearly 8 years of active duty service, Gabe was consistently recognized as a leader of character who excels in high stress environments. Highlights of his career are: leading Soldiers as a first responder to the terrorist attack on the Pentagon on 9/11, a 12 month combat deployment with a front-line unit in Mosul, Iraq, and development of next generation Army Officers as an Associate Professor of Military Science at Clemson University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Ranger school.

After the Army, Gabe continued to serve others providing servant leadership to multiple non-profit organizations. In 2012 Gabe and his family moved to Cape Town, South Africa where they founded an organization to develop next generation leaders from some of the poorest and most violent communities on the African continent. In 6 years he led an effort to invest in well over 1,000 leaders from 19 nations. Following successful transition of their organization to new leadership, Gabe relocated to Greenville, South Carolina.

Gabe’s unique and culturally diverse experience developing leaders over 20 years in combat and around the world gives him the ability to adapt best practices into any context. His continuing drive is to help leaders offer their best so that people, organizations, and communities thrive.
